Remarkably for such a rural location, Currane has broadband.
Or rather, parts of Currane have broadband.
The system is wireless within the village with a satellite uplink to the internet.
The base station for the wireless bit, and the location of the satellite uplink is
(you guessed it!) The George.
It's not the most reliable system, but it's all we're likely to get here for the foreseeable future.

So, anyone who can see our chimneys from their house/roof/chimney and is within about 5km of us can have an aerial installed and join in the broadband revolution!

To facilitate our customers with laptops/portable games consoles etc., we've installed a WiFi Hotspot in the bar so you can sip and surf at the same time!
